Study spaces at the Faculty of Social Sciences

Bachelor Programmes and one-year units

You will find reading rooms and seminar rooms for bachelor students, one-year students and exchange students at the Faculty of Social Sciences at these locations: 

• Ulrike Pihls hus (Professor Keysers gate 1)
• Vektergården (Christies gate 13): 
  • Room 278-1: Reading room for all students at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
  • Rom 276-4: Reading room for students with decision of reserved reading room at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
• Lauritz Meltzers hus, SV-bygget (Fosswinckels gate 6)

Master's Programmes

At the Faculty of Social Sciences the reading rooms for master students are primarily located at or in connection to the individual departments and have their own guidelines and opening hours.

Please contact your student counsellor if you have questions about study spaces for master students.  

Social Sciences and the Arts Library

The University of Bergen Social Sciences and Music Library has study spaces for all students. The library is located in Fosswinckels gate 14.

Booking seminar rooms

Students may book seminar rooms for study acitivities here: https://tp.uio.no/uib/rombestilling/?lang=en

The following rooms can be booked at the Faculty of Social Sciences:

• Faculty of Social Sciences: seminar room 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 202, 203, 204, 212 and 213.

Bookings are limited by the following rules:

• You may have up to 2 active bookings at any time.
• Each booking can last no longer than 4 hours.
• The booking must be within the next 10 days
