Main content
What can you apply for?
As a visiting student, you can enrol in specific courses at the Faculty of Social Sciences for one or a maximum of two semesters.
If the course has prerequisite course demands you must document that you meet these demands in your application. Possible limitations to enrolment in a course are stated in the course description.
What must you enclose with your application?
Along with the application you must enclose:
- documentation from the university or university college you attend that states that you are registered as an active student during the semester you want to be a visiting student at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
- documentation that you have paid the semester fee and are registered, or a confirmation that you are on leave, for the semester that you want to be a visiting student.
This documentation must be sent by 15 August or 15 January.
If you have not paid the semester fee or registered at your home university or university college, you must do this at the University of Bergen. You will receive more information about this if your application to become a visiting student is approved.
Processing of the application
The Faculty of Social Sciences processes applications continually, and you will receive an answer via email.
