Main content
The sea represents different values to different people and can vary with time and place.
Our project Managing Ethical Norwegian Seascape Activities (MENSA), hosted by the SVT at the University of Bergen with support from UiB Ocean, is capturing what the sea means to Norwegians.
Share your values and opinions about the sea with us and your fellow Norwegians. Ignite a national conversation to shape more sustainable and just management and governance of Norway's oceans!
During One Ocean Week 2025, you can visit our Norwegian Seascapes Tent and:
- See a mini photo and text exhibition of what the sea means to Norwegians!
- Do a Norwegian seascapes photo-sorting activity: How do you value the sea?
- Make an audio or video recording of your opinion: What does the sea mean to you?
- Enter our Norwegian seascapes contest! Final deadline: 5 May 2025
