The Earth Network, powered by UNESCO, is a network of experts on environmental knowledge with a goal of helping countries and communities achieve their biodiversity goals. They conduct their work on sites with different UNESCO designations, where they collaborate with the local communities to find tailor-made solutions for sustainable development.

On February 3rd the report "The Earth Network: sharing tools for biodiversity conservation and sustainable development in UNESCO-designated sites” was published to share a collection of best practices to support biodiversity conservation and sustainable development found across UNESCO Chairs, Category 2 Centres, and The Earth Network in different UNESCO-designated sites. Here, the BECOME project was specifically mentioned for addressing the “causality gap between variables of perceived ‘effectiveness’ and the conservation effects of management efforts in biosphere reserves”.
