Arboretum Festival Day 2013
This coming weekend it looks as though the rhododendron cultivars in the Arboretum at Milde will be at the height of blossoming. Welcome to the Arboretum Festival Day this coming Sunday, 2 June.

Arboretum Festival Day is a big family event where we offer stage entertainment, activities for children, plant sale, and sale of watercolour paintings. The event has been scheduled to coincide with the height of blossoming in the Arboretum and Botanical Garden. This year, the rhododendron cultivars will reach their peak bloom at the time of the event! Contributors this year are: Arboretets venner, Hageselskapet Fana, Norsk Roseforening, Den norske Rhododendronforening, Fana Husflidslag, Hjellestad og Milde historielag, Fana Røde kors hjelpekorps, Mattilsynet, Norsk Ornitologisk Forening, Soppforeningen i Bergen,Ljono staudegartneri,Hendrieke Berg, Bergenske Birøkterlag og Bergen og Omland Friluftsråd (BOF).
The natural trail games and activities for children are very popular, and all participants will get a medal – made of wood, naturally. New this year is a paddling activity organised by BOF in collaboration with Fana kajakklubb at Grønevika.
The event will kick-start with live music from the stage at 11.30.
The event will close at 16.00.
