New NovaSeq 6000 instrument

At the end of June, we got a new NovaSeq 6000 machine delivered from Illumina in our laboratory. The NovaSeq 6000 is the most potent and up-to-date solution for high throughput gene sequencing, and this is the first machine of this kind ever installed in a laboratory in Norway. The project plan is to start performing whole-genome sequencing as well as RNA sequencing on patient tumour samples collected in our studies. The plan is to have the machine fully operated by end of August 2019.
