Introduction to taxes in Norway

30-minute introduction to the Norwegian tax system and how to get started paying tax in Norway. The seminar is held approximately every other week. The first one this semester is 18th August, the remaining dates can be found in our calendar.

Introduction seminar

The introduction seminar is part of our 3-step introduction courses for new international employees. The seminar is held in-person is around three hours with useful information about your rights when working in Norway and for UiB, information about health, social security, holiday and holiday pay and general tips and tricks for getting your new life in Norway started. Re recommend all international employees to join this informative seminar.

Meet and greet

We regularly hosts meet and greet throughout the semester. This often includes board games, pizza, and great company!

Mobility seminar for researchers

Information to researchers going on research stay abroad. If you are at one point planning on going abroad, we recommend you join our mobility seminar 14th September.

Other events and activities

In the autumn semester we usually try to organise mushroom picking with a mushroom expert. This is normally in the autumn.

Closer to Christmas, we will organise a Christmas gathering, visit to the Gingerbread town or similar.
