Hovedinnhold

Since its establishment in 1989, the Norwegian Institute at Athens has been dedicated to disseminating Norwegian research on the ancient Greek world, including archaeology, classical studies, and cultural history. Additionally, we extend our scope to encompass topics within the broader framework of humanities, social sciences, and the arts from antiquity to recent times. Central to our mission are the efforts of the NIA's publication series.

Our publication series serves as a platform for publishing the archaeological work conducted by the Institute, as well as the outcomes of other research activities organized or endorsed by us, such as conference and workshop proceedings. We also actively encourage submissions from Norwegian scholars conducting research on the aforementioned topics. Notably, the series "Papers and Monographs from the Norwegian Institute at Athens" is listed in Norwegian register for scientific journals, series, and publishers.

Scholars and research groups interested in publishing with our publication series are invited to submit their publication proposals. To begin the process, please carefully review the NIA's publication guidelines, available at the bottom of this page, to ensure that your proposals align with the requirements and criteria of our publication series. Submissions can be made by filling out the relevant publication proposal form, also located at the bottom of this page.

Please be aware that timely submission is crucial for consideration. The annual deadline for publication proposals is December 31st. Should you have any questions pertaining to the NIA's publication series and guidelines, please do not hesitate to contact Dr. Paschalis Zafeiriadis, who oversees the publication procedures.

Thank you for considering publishing with the Norwegian Institute at Athens. We look forward to contributing to the dissemination of valuable research in our field.
