Hovedinnhold

On 5 November, the US is heading to the ballot boxes. What can we expect from a USA under Trump or Harris in terms of the economy, international trade, development and global relations? Why is the country evenly divided between two extremely different candidates?

On the one hand, Harris represents a push for policies that address social justice, climate change, healthcare reform and economic equality. On the other hand, Trump represents the idea of American freedom, emphasising national economy and need for a strong leader.

What does it take to capture the undecided and mobilise those who usually do not take part in elections? What happens if the result is contested?

Lise Rakner (UiB), Hilmar Mjelde (HVL) and Kyle Lohse Marquardt (UiB) will explore the upcoming election and its impact on national as well as global politics!

This event is free and open to all. Come and join us for breakfast!
