Hovedinnhold

Webinaret vil foregå på engelsk.

All research data has its value. The value depends on what type of data you process, and classifying the data is important for data privacy and information security reasons.

Awareness about the value of your data will help you manage your data in a secure way and to prevent that:

  • You lose your data (Accessibility),
  • your data become corrupt or manipulated (Integrity)
  • Breach of access control (Confidentiality).

Sensitive research data requires extra attention.

Sharing research data is also a common expectation in many disciplines. Legal and ethical obligations may require you to share data both with other researchers and with the research community. Navigating between the desire or expectations to share research data, and the legal/ethical concerns of protecting sensitive research data can be challenging.

  • In this webinar we will try to give you an overview of what makes research data sensitive. We will also explore some of the issues in managing and sharing these types of data and offer guidance in considering the issues inherent in handling research data in ways that address both legal and ethical concerns

The course will be held in English online via Zoom. A link will be sent out to signed up participants before the course starts
