Invitation:

We have the pleasure of inviting you to the 12th CCBIO Symposium, May 14-15, 2024 at Solstrand Hotel.

Registration: is open at this link

With so many participants in a very international mix, this is a great opportunity for international networking within the field of cancer research. The beautiful surroundings at the historical hotel Solstrand provide an ideal frame for the symposium with the serene fjord views, fresh air, great food and spacious areas, with a little touch of Norwegian history. We expect the symposium to become fully subscribed, and strongly recommend you to register early!

Program: We have organized a strong scientific program and secured a range of international speakers, among them Raza Ali,  Frances Balkwill, Ian Mills, Linda Lindstrøm, Randy Watnick, Göran Jönsson, Anna Vähärautio, Patrick Micke and Rolf Brekken. See details here.

Practical info: Please read the practical information sheet where many of your questions will be answered.

Speed-talks/poster sessions:

Younger researchers will be offered slots for 3-minute speed-talks as well as extended poster sessions.

If you wish to present a poster or do a speed-talk, please have the following information at hand before registration:

  • Project title
  • Authors
  • Whether you will present alone or with one of the co-authors
  • Size of the poster

Note that a one page poster/speed-talk abstract in Word format needs to be submitted to Eli.Vidhammer@uib.no within April 20 to be considered by the committee, and for inclusion in the abstract book. Those accepted for speed-talk will also need to prepare a 1-slide presentation in Powerpoint with deadline May 7. Info will be e-mailed to all candidates.

Fee:

The heavily subsidized registration fee is 2500 NOK/250 Euro per person for the two symposium days and the overnight stay with full board.

Regarding participation terms for industry participants, please see this link.

Rooms:

In order to accommodate 200+ participants in the 138 rooms available, we are dependent upon as many as possible sharing rooms (up to four).  So, please indicate if, and with whom, you are willing to share your room when you register online.

The symposium is open for all, so please feel free to pass on this information.

Welcome!
