Department of Clinical Science aims to conduct research, guidance and teaching at a high international level. The department has important tasks in the training of new doctors, master degree programs, and PhD education within medicine and pharmacy.

The department is one of five institutes under the Faculty of Medicine The main activities at the department take place in the Laboratory Building at campus. There is also activities taking place at various clinical departments at Haukeland University Hospital, Stavanger University Hospital, Diakonissehjemmets Hospital Haraldsplass and local hospitals in Haugesund and Førde.
