Winter conference 2019 - NGF
Minerals and Metals for Green Technologies was the main theme for the NGF winter conference 2019, January 7th - 9th. Many of our PhD and master students presented their work during the conference and it was of great success.

During this years winter conference the main theme was Minerals and Metals for Green Technologies. The theme was extremly relevent to our deep sea centre and we therefor submittet and presented several abstracts, presentations and posters.
Linn Merethe Brekke Olsen was the first one out to present. She did an amazing job presenting "Biogeochemical processes in submarine mine tailings and the impact on benthic fauna". Håvard Stubseide was next presenting "The architecture and evolution of axial volcanic ridges at ultraslow spreading-rates" followed by Anders Bjerga (Geochemistry of peridotite and gabbro from the Schultz oceanic core complex, 73°N: implications for magmatic processes at ultraslow-spreading rates) and Solveig Lie Onstad (Seafloor accretion along a magma starved spreading ridge). Henrike Wilborn presented her poster on "Establishing Cu isotopes as a tracer for seafloor ore formation using hydrothermal experiments". Thank you all for doing such a great job representing the K.G. Jebsen Centre for Deep Sea Reasearch at the conference.
