Hei people on shore!

Few days ago we arrived at the Molloy Deep located on active fault lines in the Arctic ocean between Svalbard and Greenland.

The ROV (ÆGIR 6000) already made 6 dives where it observed many life forms, such as amphipods, dumbo octopus, shrimps, microbial mats, and many other unidentified living organisms.

ÆGIR collected several interesting geological objects waiting to be analysed to test our hypotheses about the geological history and setting of the Molloy Deep!

In between the dives of ÆGIR we collected two veery interesting gravity cores that will be used to study the link between microbial community and geochemistry.

Looking forward to see what knowledge all our amazing samples will bring to us!
