The University and College network in Western Norway - UH-nett Vest
- UH-nett Vest Researchers can apply for up to NOK 200.000 for projects that are relevant to society, and contributes to renewal and innovation. Researchers can also apply for up to NOK 200.000 that can be used for dissemination of research-based knowledge.

Peder Sather Center for Advanced Studies at the University of Berkeley
- Peder Sather Grant Researchers must have a Principal Investigator (PI) from UC Berkeley and from UiB. The Center offers grants of between $10K and $25K that can support activities such as workshops, mini-conferences, virtual intellectual exchanges, the undertaking of exploratory and pilot studies, the collection and analysis of data, and other core research activities.

MIT-University of Bergen Seed Fund
- MIT-UiB Seed Fund support collaborative projects between faculty members at MIT and at the faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences at UiB. The fund offers grants up to $ 30.000 to be used for travel and meeting expenses.

Financing opportunities - International mobility
The University of the Arctic - UArctic
- North2North is the mobility program in the UArctic network. UiB accepts one institutional application yearly for n2n funding. Researchers, administrative staff and students can apply for NOK 10.00-27.000 depending on the destination and duration of the visit to the n2n partner.

Peder Sather Center for Advanced Studies at the University of Berkeley
- Researchers and PhD fellows can apply for funding up to $25.000,- to support graduate student exchanges and postdoctoral fellow exchanges.

The Norwegian University Centre in Paris
- Grants are open to all fields within the social sciences, humanities, law, theology and education. One can apply for up to NOK 20.000 per month (1-2 months) to cover rent and other livingcosts. Economy air travel can also be covered up to NOK 5.000.

- Researchers and PhD fellows can apply for funding to cover air travel and visa costs for a guest research stay. The stay can be used for research, teaching or a combination by agreement with the recipient institution.
