Our research group consists of clinicians with various specialties and professions from Bergen Emergency Department (BLV), Bergen Minor injury Department (SKOT), departments for radiology, orthopedic surgery and plastic surgery at Haukeland University Hospital (HUS). Since 2009, we have done research on hand and wrist injuries, wound and burn injury treatment, injury epidemiology, but also within general fracture prevention and ankle injuries.
The group is associated with Clinical Department 1 (K1) at UiB and collaborates closely with the National Competence Center for Emergency Medicine (Nklm) and has previously collaborated with the Hand Surgery Section at Derby Hospitals in England and the Orthopedic Department at Harvard University in the USA.
A characteristic of our research is our close connection to clinical work with wounds and injuries.
