On 16th December, Ida Vikøren Andersen, postdoctoral fellow in the CLIMLIFE research project, and Katherine Duarte, media researcher at UiB, published a debate article titled "Code Red for Climate Journalism" in the national newspaper Aftenposten.
On 19th November 2021, Kjersti Fløttum and Mike S. Schäfer presented their report on "The language of debate and communication about climate change" at the Royal Flemish Academy in Brussels.
On November 3rd, postdoctoral fellow Ida Vikøren Andersen participated in a panel debate on climate researchers' rhetorics, and media's role in the climate change debate. The panel debate was arranged by Bergen Global and was streamed on Zoom.
Three members of the LINGCLIM research group, Kjersti Fløttum, Ida Vikøren Andersen and Jana Paulina Scheurer, presented recent research findings at the interdisciplinary Beyond Oil conferance in Bergen, 20-21 October 2021.
On 21st September 2021, Kjersti Fløttum held a keynote speech at "Thinker's Cycle: The Language of Debate and Communication on Climate Change" at the Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts in Brussels.
Kjersti Fløttum and Ida Vikøren Andersen held two presentations at the interdisciplinary seminar "Exit Earth – Extreme Weather Warnings" at the Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design (UiB), 16th September 2021.
On 16th September 2021, PhD candidate Runa Falck participated in a panel debate at UiB's Bergen School of Global Studies, which has climate change as one of its five main pillars.
On Friday, 1st September, Amal Haddad Haddad, PhD-candidate at the Universidad de Granada, Spain, visited the LINGCLIM research group. In her research project, Haddad Haddad studies climate metaphors in Spanish and Arabic texts.
On August 27th 2021, Kjersti Fløttum was invited to speak at the Climate Departement of the Municipality of Bergen, to present results from the recent school survey on lifestyle in light of climate change.
Kjersti Fløttum and Solveig Lygren gave talks at UiB's conference «Climate Change Temporalities», 11th -13th August 2021.
On July 21st, Kjersti Fløttum was interviewed by the Swiss radio RTS-Info on words used in relation to the catastrophic floods that hit Western Europe in July 2021.
After a successful implementation of its school survey on climate and lifestyle in spring 2021, the CLIMLIFE-research group has now published a first research report.
Against the background of the annual Climate Festival in Bergen (Klimafestivalen § 112 - Bergen), the CLIMLIFE research group arranged an event at Litteraturhuset i Bergen on Monday, 7th June, to present and discuss selected results from a recently conducted school survey on climate and lifestyle.
On Monday, May 31, the CLIMLIFE research group arranged a digital meeting for students and teachers who earlier this year had participated in a school survey on climate and lifestyle. During the meeting, first results from the study were presented and discussed with the participants.
Dag Elgesem & Kjersti Fløttum presented CLIMLIFE results from a survey undertaken by the Norwegian Citizen Panel.
On Tuesday 16th march 2021, professor Kjersti Fløttum, head of LINGCLIM, was invited to give a talk on LINGCLIM studies of perceptions of the future in French climate blogs.
On Thursday, 28th January 2021, postdoctoral fellow Ida Vikøren Andersen held a presentation on «Vær rebelsk – bli veganer!» Norsk ungdoms retoriske framing av bærekraftige levemåter.» (English: "Be rebellious – go vegan! Young Norwegians' rhetorical framing of sustainable lifestyles") for the research group Environmental Humanities (HUMKLIM).
On Friday, 22nd January, the interdisciplinary research group LINGCLIM had a digital meeting with its Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) in order to get technical and strategic advice for the CLIMLIFE research project.
