Winners of The 16th Annual Research Presentations 2022

The 16th Annual Research Presentations arranged by the Research School in Clinical Medicine has finished with great success. The event was held from 267th to the 28th of January, 2022.
PhD Candidates and Postdoctoral Fellows/Scientists affiliated to the UiB/Department of Clinical Medicine (K1) & Clinical Science (K2) at Faculty of Medicine and Helse-Vest participated with projects presented in national or international conferences during 2021.
Members of the Evaluation Committee were Gottfried Greve, Silje Skrede, Kjell-Morten Myhr and Stian Knappskog.
On the first day of the event, 37 projects were presented as Poster Presentations.
On the second day of the event, 11 projects were presented as Oral Presentations.
Three projects presented by PhD candidates were awarded "The Best Poster Presentation Award"
First place winner: 10 000 NOK

Second place winner: 5000 NOK

Three projects presented by PhD candidates were awarded "The Best Oral Presentation Award"
First place winner: 10 000 NOK
Karine Eid: Childhood abuse and the risk of multiple sclerosis. A prospective, population-based cohort study
Second place winner: 5000 NOK
Martha Haugstøyl: Karakterisering av naturlige dreperceller (nk celler) i fettvevet hos personer med fedme
Third place winner: 3000 NOK
Elisabeth Nilsen Husebye: Plasma unmetabolized folic acid in pregnancy and risk of autistic traits and language impairment in antiseizure medication-exposed children of women with epilepsy
Projects presented by Postdoctoral Researchers/Scientists were nominated for the "Open Class Award"
