Technology Takes Over Anyway, so Why Worry?

Technological determinism is the idea that technologies are the actual drivers of development, not human creativity. This theory says that slow accumulation processes are more decisive than the effort of humans, and that technology’s physical qualities determine what humans can achieve.
The function of technology has always been to take over for humans, and algorithms can predict your behaviour and can give you input before you know you need it. However, Heidegger and Alfred E. Neumann can’t agree on the dangers of technology, as professor Lars Nyre explains in this presentation.
