What happens when your brain takes a break and your thoughts start drifting off? How does the brain manage to tune out and in at will? How is your performance affected by these distracting thoughts?
These are some of the questions I am currently investigating. My background is in computer science and experimental psychology and I use a set of diverse tools ranging from neuroimaging and neurophysiology to computational modeling at various levels. I am also interested and actively pursue projects in computational neuroscience, selective attention, episodic memory as well as transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) as a tool for brain research.
