Hydrogen, a versatile energy carrier, is widely used across various applications. Ongoing research initiatives aim to expand its utilization, yet unique safety considerations arise compared to conventional sources.

In this talk, PhD candidate Melodia Lucas (Dept. of Physics and Technology) will take us on an exciting journey, revealing large-scale hydrogen explosions through experiments in Sotra and 3D simulations in FLACS. She will also show the limitations of the simulation tool and share her work to improve the predictive capabilities.
