Fisheries and Marine Biology Group

We conduct research and teaching about organisms, their role and adaptations in the marine environment from coastal zone to the deep sea. Our research, teaching and thesis guidance covers laboratory and field studies as well as more theoretical and quantitative fields within overarching topics such as biodiversity, ecological interactions and sustainable harvesting of biological resources. A major focus is the link to the environment, climate and human impact.

We have the responsibility for the teaching of the Master study program specialization Marine Biology, Fisheries Biology and Management
