Join the Interdisciplinary PhD Course at the Pandemic Centre!

In October, the Pandemic Centre is offering an interdisciplinary course for students on preparedness for health crises. The course is primarily aimed at PhD candidates and master's students and will address a range of exciting issues in collaboration with some of the leading experts at UiB.

Registration is now open for this fall’s interdisciplinary course at the Pandemic Centre: Preparedness for Health Crises: A Multidisciplinary Approach. The course will be held in week 43 (October 21-25) and will cover interdisciplinary approaches to better understand the generation and interaction of knowledge used to address global health threats in society. PhD candidates have first priority, but the course is also open to master's students from all disciplines.

Examples of issues that will be covered in the course include complexity and uncertainty, vaccine preparedness, mental health impact among young people, health legislation, politics, decision-making, and more. Students will also reflect on and discuss approaches to strengthening preparedness for potential new health crises.

Course participants will also have the opportunity to attend the Pandemic Centre's international conference on October 28 Preparedness for multicrises
