Within March 1th every years, researchers must report the number of animals used the previous year to Mattilsynet

Animal number, species and and objectives of animal use must be reported to Mattilsynet
From 2018 you also have to report actual severity
Actual severity is not always the same as the severity you estimated in the FOTS application

Norwegian regulations on animal reserach
§ 36 Annual report: Approved users must send a report to the Norwegian Food Safety Authority on a separate form by March 1, containing statistical information on the use of animals in experiments in the previous calendar year, including information on the actual severity level of the experiments, on the origin of the animals and on species of primates used in experiments.
