The museum garden's 10 meter high glasshouse, 'Plantehuset', was built by architect Gustav Bild in 1901. The glasshouse was bought complete in Breslau and paid for by Conrad Mohr. It originally had Gothic-style cast iron detailing and a pointed arched glass roof. The central section also had a perimeter platform (balcony), in keeping with international greenhouse architecture. The glasshouse was rebuilt in the mid-20th century, including a new traditional gable roof.

The greenhouse is open for visits on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00-11:30 and 12:30-14:00.
