The spring crocus (Crocus vernus) is not a native species in Norway. Their native habitats are in mountainous regions in south-eastern Europe. They were introduced to Milde at some point since the 17th Century and have naturalised, spreading slowly by seeds that take several years to come to flower. This is the time to come and see them for yourself!
