Data and conditions of use: NFP
Data from the Panel of Public Administrators are available for use in research and education, by application to DIGSSCORE and through SAFE, the secure access to research data and e-infrastructure at the University of Bergen. When used in publications and reports, the panel must be cited in the paper.
Main content
Participants to the Panel of Public Administrators are recruited by trying to reach all members of the central public administration. This is done in three ways: (1) Emails directly to those working there using publicly available emails, (2) contact with leaders that encourage staff to sign up for the panel by sending a sign up link to the staff, (3) the opportunity for bureaucrats to sign up themselves. As part of the survey they are asked in what kind of place they work, so we know that information regardless of way of recruitment. Recruitment is done regularly, as staff often changes.
After each wave, a dataset, codebook and a methodology report is produced with information about participation, representativity, time use, etc. More information on the waves of the Norwegian Panel of Public Administrators (including citation requirements, methodology reports and codebooks) can be found by clicking the links below for the waves you are interested in.
To use the data, you must apply to digsscore@uib.no. They can be accessible through the safe research data system at the University of Bergen, for use in research and teaching. Data are aggregated on some key indicators, so the participants will not be identifiable.
