We summon the employee and the leader to a meeting where we give guidance according to the rules and regulations . In the meeting we will go through the regulations, and discuss your entitlement to parental leave with pay. If you are not entitled to parental benefit, you may apply for a parental leave without pay. Your local HR will process this.
If the entitlement to parental benefit is unquestionable and the leave is agreed upon, we assist the employee with filling out the application to UiB and to Nav.
We have a coordinating role with the employee, UiB and Nav in the parental leave process and we aim to make sure that the application to UiB and Nav is correct. Consequently, the refund from Nav to UiB will also be correct.The employee will receive a decision letter from UiB after the meeting. We will follow the case until the leave is finished.
