Books
Today printed literature is only a fraction of the library collection. On the other hand it it may be the most important part, comprising central monographs, the classics of the discipline and the books of the syllabus.
Alle books are searchable in the DDC Subject index (Norwegian only).
The easisest way to find books is to browse the shelves. The books are arranged by subject according to the Dewey decimal classfication. Different aspects of "politics" is shelved under the numbers 320. to 328, but as books are indexed according to their subject matter, not discipline, relevant books can be found in other classes as well.
