DMP Workshop
This workshop allows you to work with your own DMP and receive feedback. Experts from the University Library will be present to guide you and answer your questions.

Pre-work: We strongly encourage you to start filling out a DMP as best as you can prior to this workshop (15-30 minutes). We recommend using a digital DMP tool (e.g. DMPonline or DataStewardshipWizard).

NB! This is a workshop, and not a course/webinar. You are welcome to attend the webinar "Introduction to Data management plan" before this workshop (03.02 or 12.05)

Tentative schedule
11:15-12:00 Individual work on own DMP
12:00-12:30 Lunch break
12:30-13:15 Peer review (Share and give feedback on eachother's DMP in small groups)
13:15-13:30 Break
13:30-14:00 Individual work on own DMP
14:00-14:15 Open discussion and summary

The course will run if there are minimum 10 participants registered. A Zoom link will be sent to registered participants the day before the seminar.

There are several DMP Tools, that can help you write a Data Management Plan. Most of these follow the Science Europe guidelines, and are compliant with the requirements of NFR and Horizon 2020. The plans can easily be exported and shared. Examples of DMP tools are:

  • DMPonline (NB! when creating an account, choose "other" organisation)
  • Data Steward Wizard from Elixir (highly recommended for Life Sciences; own template adapted to Norwegian requirements)
  • EasyDMP from Sigma2 (adapted to Norwegian requirements)
  • NSD's DMP from NSD, Norwegian centre for research data
  • argos from OpenAire

When creating your DMP using one of these DMP Tools, we recommend reading Cessda Data Management expert guideELIXIR's RDMkitScience Europe guidelinesDCC's checklist.
