Stolpejakten 2025

Stolpejakten - the pole hunt - is ready at the Arboretum and Botanical Garden, Milde! This year we have a new twist with extra information about selected plants from around the world. Look for the QR codes on the poles. In connection with the Year of Outdoor Life 2025, we want to emphasise inclusion and diversity, and the Arboretum is truly unique within the plant world. The large plant collections include more than 5,000 plant species from near and far. We would like to tell you a little more about some of them.

This year's pole hunt will be easy for most people to follow. The stops are located on hiking trails and simple terrain, within difficulty levels green and blue. Just download the Stolpejakt app and you're ready to go. Did you know that the horse chestnut on the hill by Blondehuset is from the Balkans? And where do you think the 'parrot bushes' grow in the Arboretum?

Take the light rail to Birkelandsskiftet and bus 53 to the bus stop at Fana folkehøgskule to get to the Arboretum, or the last stop for the Botanical Gardens. Thre is a large and free car park at Dalsmyra, and parking also at the Botanical Garden. A short walk on a gravel road takes you to Blondehuset, in the heart of the Arboretum. The Blondehuset café's opening season starts on Sunday 6 April, 11-15.
