The Molecular Imaging Center (MIC) is this year hosts the fifth national NorMIC microscopy symposium to be held in Bergen on October 25th – 26th 2012. In addition to international and national speakers, suppliers will install whole confocal microscopes for the participants to bring their own samples.

Biomedical Image Sciences is a relatively new field of study. We have interviewed two students who have chosen this study track in the Master's Programme in Medical Biology.

Heli Havukainen, a PhD student associated with Biorecognition, last week successfully defended her PhD thesis entitled "Dissecting Molecular Properties of Honey Bee Vitellogenin" at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB).
