We consider this new project a fantastic opportunity to continue contributing high-quality visualization research to the medical field here in Bergen. Based on ten years of fruitful research, we see great benefits in cooperating interdisciplinarily to solve challenging problems that require the integration of multiple, complementary competences.
Within the framework of the EPOS-Norway project, a dedicated web-portal is being developed. As part of this development, on 1-3 November 2017, EPOS-Norway project arranged a workshop in Bergen, where 25 students and scientists attended.
With cakes, champagne and balloons, we have celebrated five master students this fall. All of the students have done a good job – and we wish them the best of luck!
In august this year two scientists from the K.G. Jebsen Centre for Deep Sea Research led a session called "Geobiology of the Deep Ocean and Subsurface: Contributions of the Deep Biosphere to Earth Systems" during the yearly Goldschmidt conference, giving the stage to geochemists, microbiologists and geologists working on deep-sea environments.
