American Association for Cancer Research (AACR 2024) April 5-10, 2024 (11.06.2024)
It was a great privilege to participate at ‘AACR Annual Meeting 2024’, a large and important conference for cancer research, the place where scientists, clinicians, survivors, and patients, gather to share and discuss the latest breakthroughs.

Although patient involvement in research was not part of the program at the 12th CCBIO Annual Symposium, it is a topic CCBIO will give more attention to. We had a chat with a user representative who participated at the symposium, and who is also contributing in one of our research projects.

On May 22nd, the Food4HealthyLife team organised a workshop at Alrek helseklynge in Bergen to learn more about what end users might expect from a healthy eating tool in a mobile phone app.

Continuing a strong cancer research network (05.06.2024)
The 12th CCBIO Annual Symposium has recently taken place, with a program showcasing current cancer biomarker research. This was the final symposium in CCBIO’s 10-year period funded by the Research Council of Norway as a Centre of Excellence (CoE), however not the last. CCBIO will continue its core activities, maintaining what has become a strong cancer research network.

Hope, science and summer research school (04.06.2024)
“There is hope in science and research”, said Rector Margareth Hagen in her welcome address to the one hundred PhD candidates from more than thirty countries taking part in the seventeenth Bergen Summer Research School.
