The PhD-candidates Vegard Lysne and Anthea Van Parys, from the Centre for Nutrition, participated at the Homocysteine conference in Virgili, Spain.
Scandinavian Society for Biomaterials 2019 Conference was organized in Långvik, Finland. The three-day conference was attended by some 100 people and 28 presentations were given internationally from Singapore all the way to Colorado. Conference also held a poster session showing 58 posters.

Engjom is first author on the article "Risk of eclampsia or HELLP- syndrome by institution availability and place and delivery – A population – based cohort study". The Marie Spångberg award is established by the Representative Body of the Norwegian Medical Association in connection with the 100 year anniversary in 1993 for Marie Spångberg. The first Norwegian woman to become a doctor.

N-terminal acetylation is a very common protein modification and NAA10 is the major responsible enzyme in human cells. Here we found a novel pathological NAA10 variant, NAA10 p. (R83H), in two boys with developmental delay and intellectual disabilities.
